    Sprint Stock

Hey there clones...just some friendly advice needed. I bought Spring awhile ago at probably the worst time. It was trading at $5.53 It's now at $2.20. Fun ride all the way down eh? Anywho. It's now valued in the 4 ish range. Would this be a good time you think to put more money in to try and stem my loss? Seems to be undervalued but I don't want to lose any more money on this. Guess you can't make money without spending it though.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated thanks.

I have not accumulated tons of money in the stock market, but charts say for a 3 month period 1. it is consistently below the crossover (price vs 200 day moving average (bad) 2. macd (8,17) vs ema (9) is just above the crossover. (good) 3. %k (14) vs %D (5) is below the crossover (bad). everything I see says it is time to make your decision and stick to your plan. Guessing and hoping doesn't work except for about 10% of the time, it is a hard lesson to learn. I usually just take my beating in your scenario. I have been there (Haliburton summer of 2011)

What makes you think it is undervalued?

    Re: Sprint Stock

family member used to be exec at Sprint. They were offered the Iphone first, turned it down because Apple wanted to control everything, and then all hell broke loose and they bombed out. I think they will be back, with the DTC and ATT merger not happening, and all the bad publicity going on with those companies, there is no reason that Sprint with all that they can offer can't rebound and become the second most popular carrier.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

I refuse to buy stock in a mature company that losses money every quarter, regardless of price.

I am a newbie so be gentle... I am basing that off of the reports that have Sprint stock valued around 4 ish a share.

Edit: I use ETRADE and their source is TREFIS. TREFIS has Sprint valued at $4.25.

Thanks for the info...I have a ton of questions but I'll try to stick to this..you say everything you see says it's time to make a decision.. Does that mean you believe that it is poised to move? Also are you saying that it could be either positive or a negative move?

    Thanks!

    Re: Sprint Stock

Have you listened to any conference calls? What's management's plan for getting out from under that mountain of debt? Hoping for a buyout?

I would have sold it two weeks ago to at least capture some tax losses.

Not trying to criticize or come down on you. If that was the impression the post implied, I apologize. Was just wondering what you were looking at to make it compelling.

If you determine it is going up buy more or wait with what you already own. If you determine it is a dead horse sell it. I can't give advise about something like this. Plan a strategy for big ups and big downs when you purchase a stock AND FOLLOW IT, don't just "like" a stock.

No you were fine I wasn't referring to you. I was just stating my source and letting people know I really have no clue about stocks etc.
