    Anyone use Bankers Trust?

I have two commercial checking, one commercial savings, and one personal checking accounts with them. On my commercial statements I've been noticing an 'Analysis Service Fee' that's been deducted each month. It varies in amount, usually between $5 and $20. I called a customer service rep, but she couldn't explain what exactly the fee was for (ugh). So I asked her to transfer me to someone who could explain it. Of course the person she transferred me to was gone for the day, so I'll wait to hear back tomorrow.

Anyway, anyone use Bankers Trust or another bank that charges Analysis Service Fees? If so, do you know exactly what they are for?

For the most part I've been happy with Bankers Trust, but being charged mysterious fees even their customer service reps can't explain is enough to get me to switch. Then again, is there such a bank out there that doesn't nickel and dime customers with ridiculous fees?

Fees for transactions on the business accounts, credits, debits, items/cash deposited, things like that. Ask to see the fee schedule and you can see exactly what the fees are, I just briefly looked at their website and didn't see it, but I didn't look that closely.

Eyes closed, head first, can't lose.

I have a safe in the basement, I could hang on to that money for ya. On a serious note I have heard that Ally bank is pretty decent with respect to not charging fees.

    Re: Anyone use Bankers Trust?

For a business account banks usually have some sort of analysis, and within the charges are based upon the number of items you have go through each month: debit, credits, checks, deposits - what have you

Also within one would normally be able to earn a credit on which to offset some or all of these charges. This depends upon the average balance and a short term interest rate within the analysis - typically a 90 day T bill or shorter maturity.

Beings rates on debt from the US Treasury are at all time lows, these credits earned in the past to offset charges are now gone. With what happened with the interchange fees being capped, you will likely see more changes with these types of accounts, too.

I've been very happy with Ally, even more than my local CU. Although it's a pain to deposit checks.
