My bedroom receiver is like that, but my living room one isn't. I heard there was going to be an update, so is that it?

    Re: New DirecTV Onscreen Guide

I guess my wife was sent an e-mail that shows what the new guide is going to look like. It does look a lot better. Also, it sounds like they've started sending out the download to HD receivers and it could take up to 48 hours to download.

I hope so. Nothing pisses me off more then when I have to input the channel number 3 times cause the guide is slow as ****.

There's a guide? So I could look up when games are on all by myself? That is a great idea.

Yeah, we got it about a week ago. It's awesome. It looks better an is 5x faster than the old guide. You'll love it.

Unless something has changed recently the Ames-Des Moines market is scheduled for Wednesday.

Still nothing in Cedar Rapids. I hate that they have been talking about it for months, but nothing is out yet. They haven't responded to my last couple questions on Twitter about it, which is really annoying.

I don't see any difference in the guide from what I have now. Maybe since mine was just installed in July I had it right away.

Mine still looks the same. I never turn my receiver off though. Do you think if I did, it would trigger an update?

Does anybody's remote run super slow at time. Like even turning channels or picking up DVR movement? Is it a product of my older television or a battery issue?

Originally my setup was standard def, and it was pretty slow. I upgraded to HD awhile ago, and it was faster, but every once in awhile it's semi non responsive for a few seconds.
