    shocks & struts

Guys I think its time I need some shocks and struts on my 2008 ford focus. I am planning on taking it into midas because they have 50/50 plan where you pay half today and pay the other half in a month. how much money do you think it will run me, I am afraid of the answer

also anybody have any ideas on a good shop?

I see your location is Ames but if you are willing to use a DSM area shop try Stiver's in Waukee.

I go there for everything service related and they always treat me great. They actually talked me out of fixing something that I had in my head was an issue (actually shocks/struts/suspension related) because they said there was nothing wrong.

I appreciated the honesty and them saving me $$.

More than anything, (Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads) has restored the Iowa State “it” factor, the steadfast belief that it is great to be a Cyclone...the man’s enthusiasm is genuine to the core...”

You can look at around $500.00 for the repair. Everything depends on what the shop rate is. Stivers is a great place to go.

Are they leaking? Are you having problems?

Shocks aren't like the used to be. I'd be pretty surprised if an '08 actually needed them.

    This was my thought too.

Did the OP get an oil change with "needed repairs" listed from one of Ames "finest" (Jiffy or Car-X)?
