I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

ya no kidding whats up with all the bugs??

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Re: Anyone watching the ALDS game?

They said during the game that they were canadian flying soldiers aka flying ants. And they hatched early this year because of the warm weather. They hatch near the lake and then move on after 1 or 2 days apparently.
It was the worst in the 7th or 8th inning. But by the 11th came around there were alot fewer.

On another note isn't it great to see the yankee's down 0-2 in the series

I hate making excuses, but if you watched, you can agree that these bugs really got into the head of Joba. Sucks

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

Re: Anyone watching the ALDS game?

They without a doubt bothered him, but both teams had to face the bugs while batting and pitching. So it was still a equal playing field. It is just they they affected Joba way more then other players. In fact it seemed the Yankee's as a whole put up quite a fit about all the bugs much more than the Indians did. For a while I thought they may suspend play for a bit or something.

My boss loves the Yankees. Goes to New York to watch games. Guess he is not happy.

Join the crowd. Small towns are trouncing the megaplexes.

Phoenix, Denver, Cleveland, Boston beating Philly, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.

Re: Anyone watching the ALDS game?

I thought it was hilarious watching the Yankees dealing with the bugs. I had the game on the background with the sound muted, and I didn't know what was going on until Jeter looked like he was trying to dodge a wasp.

side note from the bugs at the game to the tv booth - what the heck has Tony Gwynn been eating. It's been awhile since I've seen him but he is huge.

With the high def tv, I swear I started swatting bugs while I watched the game!

I am a Yankees and Cubs fan, so it looks like a short post season this year.
