Is "1" really playing? It looks like he might be just standing up in front of the bench to see the end of the game. Of course I can't even tell whether that is the WKU or LALaf's bench from the photo.

Edit: Okay, never mind. I looked at the video.

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

If you watch the video they are all playing. Spaced the floor really well. Guy on the near side was trying to guard two people and got driven by and scored on when he could have helped.

Why was 5 player coach fired?

"Our attendance levels are reaching historic lows," Bjork said. "Confidence, respect -- locally and nationally, public support and an overall positive perception of the WKU men's basketball program is lacking. Our historic program is too strong to be in this position. Simply put, WKU men's basketball needs a new voice."
"Unfortunately, as this season has progressed, the plan has not worked out. We have a 5-11 record and do not rank in the nation's top 200 in virtually any statistical category. This is not what the WKU basketball program should represent."
The Hilltoppers drew 3,813 for their season opener against St. Joseph's and managed just 2,137 in the loss to the Ragin' Cajuns on Thursday night despite a $1 ticket promotion.

    .

I also watched the video that's been posted on a number of sites. When you watch it,look at the fans in the lower right hand portion of the video, three or four of them are going nuts telling the refs they have six players on the court,it's hilarious to watch them.

Re: Western Kentucky loss to Louisiana-Lafayette in OT...oops (MBB)

Retiring Sun Belt commissioner Wright Waters told ESPN.com Thursday night that he was told that the sixth player isn't involved in the play. But when watching the video you can see that no one is essentially involved in the play as Payton takes the inbound pass and dribbles through traffic before getting to the rim.

"This probably happens more than we realize," Waters said. "Coaches are on the court, too. If the official had stopped it then it upsets the flow of the final seconds of the game. But we wish it wouldn't have happened."
What the hell? "Happens more than we realize." Uh, I'm pretty sure it almost never happens, and the few times it does IT GETS CALLED.

And "it only would have upset the flow of the game if they called it," uh, hello, they're cheating. That screws up the flow.

Where's Blum, I'd love to see him try to run to the refs defense on this one...

I don't know if he can come up with one. As there are 5 guys trying to cover 6 which does impact the game quite a bit.

I wonder if these were the same guys that reffed the "FT-3pt-FT" game...

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

They probably are not the same refs but I wonder if they were trained by them
