    Quean Smith

Anybody heard anything official about him enrolling this semester?

We could sure use another heavyweight in the room practicing.

Sounds like a good question for KJ on his next show. he is not in the student directory, but who knows if that is up to date at the moment.

So we have Gibson and Swope, plus Simonson may be in the room. Zabiskie should be giving the guys some quality reps, and we have another HW from Kentucky, do we not?

IIRC, I was told that directories are not updated until a couple days after classes resume. To avoid redoing everything after the drop outs or no-shows.

    Re: Quean Smith

I don't believe Kyle Simonson is doing much if any live wrestling yet. It still is a 12-15 month full recovery, which makes full recovery this summer. He might be doing drilling and/or riding a bike. I haven't talked to his dad in the last couple weeks.

The Lawrence kid is from Kentucky, but only maybe qualified for Kentucky state tourney, so not a high caliber workout partner.

So main partners are Z, Gibson, and Swope.

Is kyle coming back? Talked to one of his friends before the school year and they said that between the injuries and vet school that he was looking at giving up the last year. I hope this is wrong, but would understand if it wasn't.

    Re: Quean Smith

I think the chance that Kyle comes back is very thin. He does not qualify for a Medical Redshirt, so this is it. With Gibson ranked and doing well, KJ will not pull Matt for a questionable Kyle. I would think the only chance that Kyle would see the mat again is if Matt got hurt or something and prevented him from finishing the season.

I'm not too worried about workout partners 165+. We have depth there plus the Paulsens, Reader, and Zabriskie. It's the lower weight guys that don't have enough quality workout partners pushing them, which is pretty obvious when you see their mat wrestling.
