    Man vs. Wild Fake...

    Bear, tell me ain't so!

I was a fan of this show. I thought Bear was likable personality and I thought he added drama for the purposes of entertainment, but I at least thought he was doing what he said he was doing: Surviving alone in remote locations. However:

Survivorman appears to be the real deal with Les out there by himself and even does his own camera work. I'll be watching Les only from now on. I don't like being lied to.

    1. The show shouldn't have misled people.

    2. It was a good thing for Bear to tell people the truth.

    3. I would still watch this show just because it is still very interesting (Survivorman is OK too).

    4. Not a big surprise.

I'm surprised that people didn't realize this sooner. I also don't see how the show would have mislead people. It's common sense that if you don't catch something, you won't eat. Traps aren't fail-safe, especially makeshift traps.

    Re: Man vs. Wild Fake...

Ok, to the guys that feel betrayed about this - if the guy dies there's no show. Of course certain things are fake. But...

...guy ran away from a bear when it was pitch dark
...guy killed an extremely poisonous snake with his bare hands
...guy was not afraid to roam with the "salties"
    ...guy drank his own ****

So he spent a couple of nites in a hotel. The guy spent all his military life doing these things for real. Why should he also have to do them on TV? DUDE'S STILL HARDCORE!!!

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

    Re: Man vs. Wild Fake...

I thought I saw a video awhile ago where they showed a clip from Man vs. Wild, and then then some average joe filmed him and his buddy going to the same exact location, only to pan over and find a highway right next to the locale.

    Re: Man vs. Wild Fake...

I figured some of it was fake. I'd heard this rumor a long time ago. The problem with Man Vs. Wild vs. Survivorman for me is that... I don't really like the guy on Survivorman. It's boring to me. However fake Man Vs. Wild is, I've still seen Bear bite into a live fish to kill it as it's guts squished out gills. The dude is hardcore either way.

Did anybody watch the tribe show? I really wanted to see that yesterday but I missed it. That show looks sweet too.
