I was a fan of this show. I thought Bear was likable personality and I thought he added drama for the purposes of entertainment, but I at least thought he was doing what he said he was doing: Surviving alone in remote locations. However:
I'm surprised that people didn't realize this sooner. I also don't see how the show would have mislead people. It's common sense that if you don't catch something, you won't eat. Traps aren't fail-safe, especially makeshift traps.
I thought I saw a video awhile ago where they showed a clip from Man vs. Wild, and then then some average joe filmed him and his buddy going to the same exact location, only to pan over and find a highway right next to the locale.
I figured some of it was fake. I'd heard this rumor a long time ago. The problem with Man Vs. Wild vs. Survivorman for me is that... I don't really like the guy on Survivorman. It's boring to me. However fake Man Vs. Wild is, I've still seen Bear bite into a live fish to kill it as it's guts squished out gills. The dude is hardcore either way.
Did anybody watch the tribe show? I really wanted to see that yesterday but I missed it. That show looks sweet too.
