Va Tech's kicker vs Iowa States

Isn't it sad that Va Tech's 3RD STRING kicker is better than both of ISU's kickers? Let's hope Netten can bring some stability next year.

Guyer did have a strong second half to the season to finish out his college career.

Stanford's first string is equal or worse.

Agreed. But still made every cyclone fan cross their fingers every time he went out to kick.

Re: Va Tech's kicker vs Iowa States

Dont we say this every time after we graduate a kicker? I have just come to the conclusion that ISU will always have a bad kicker and until I am proven wrong I will always assume that...

Those guys always have an All-American kicker....

Re: Va Tech's kicker vs Iowa States

Its our own fault as ISU fans. We as fans should be breeding and raising kickers to fix this problem. I for one plan to force my children to kick from the time they can walk. I look forward to beating them when they miss.

The only thing i havent figured out is if they end up hating me, which they will, what keeps them from signing to Iowa. Unless of course i start them in school early and they graduate at 17, then they have no choice. Excellllllent.

Haha I think you should deff do this(except for beating them of course) I would have no problem with it. Ill probably make one of my sons a punter and the other a NFL calibar QB.

Side note: The Va Tech kicker is now 4-4 and just hit the game tying FG. What a stud

Alright he just missed the game winner.... But he made his first 4 so they wouldnt even be in this situation w/o him anyways.

This year was not particularly bad for ISU kickers. Guyer was very accurate from short range. It is a nice luxury to have Mahoney boot it on kickoffs and long FGs, plus some very very important onsides.

He was great if you wanted the ball to go straight forward. Because that's where it was going, no matter where the ball was placed.
