You don't have to imagine - just look at 2010.

Hope this doesn't affect his draft status after next season.

He played fine all year while hurt. Why would fixing his injury hurt his status?

Some NFL teams might be scared off thinking he is "injury prone". I don't think the shoulder surgery will affect anything, but you never know. Hope he recovers quickly!

I know he had a great 2010, but it was his first year as a starter. After 2 full years and an off-season to get healthy...

He and AJ have a chance to be one of the best LB tandems in Big 12 history.

    Re: JK20

I think Knott did drop off as the season went along - and I mean this as no knock on him whatsoever. This just proves why. He still made a lot of plays, but if he were more healthy, he makes even more.

AJ & the rest of the D turned it up the 2nd half of the season, which helped immensely. Hopefully all can be more healthy next season (and the big plays will be to difficult to count!)

All FT players deal with getting nicked up, but the extent of these would normally have shut down a player. Knott's pain tolerance must be incredible. Maybe he comes back with an adamantium skeleton & some retractable claws...

There is no doubt that Knott had not as good of a season as last year, but it was still good, and AK47 picked up the slack. Those two together are an awesome team.

    Re: JK20

Maybe its a good thing that knott doesn't have to make all the plays. Klein and porter and George can make more tackles and our defensive line is making more plays.

In other words, less reliable on one player

    Re: JK20

I still think that Knott provided the "kill shot" in the Oklahoma State game when he tipped the pass in the 2nd OT. Keeping up with the best pass receiver in college football and preventing a catch was indispensible to the win. Oklahoma State moved Blackmon to get him away from Leonard Johnson thinking that Blackmon could runaway from a slower linebacker......wrong! Knott kept up with him and tipped away the pass. It was "Check" with little chance of avoiding "Checkmate" from that point on.

    Re: JK20

What a badass. But to be honest I hope he gets a few years in in the NFL, makes some cash, then gets the f outta there in time to hopefully have enough function left to lift his kids and hopefully his grandkids some day. His legend is drifting from bad *** into scary range.
