    2012 Recievers

With losing Darks and Reynolds we lose a lot of height...between the guys who saw the field this season I could see CPR and company showing more minutes to some taller underclassmen than putting short veterans on the field

hopefully Gary is available and his legal issues don't keep him out

Wide Recievers should drop less balls and O-line should false start less cough Hicks cough

Receivers need to work harder to make catches. For instance, Reynolds seemed to be more worried about getting flags than making catches on the two lobs into the endzone, especially the second one for which he turned the wrong way, jumped awkwardly, and didn't use his back well to shield against #11.

I will give him credit though for making a very good move on #11 to get open for a big gain on the final interception. Jantz shouldn't have thrown for the short gain, but lobbed it over #11.

    Re: 2012 Recievers

Tall-er guys who won't be frosh:
    Bundrage 6'-1"
    Daniels 6'-3"
    Ecby 6'-1"
    Lemke 6'-4" (TE)
    Richardson 6'-4" (TE)

Short-er guys who won't be frosh:
    Lenz 6'-0"
    Gary 5'-10"
    Horne 5'-9"
    West 5'-7"

Our experience will certainly be the short-er receivers, but hopefully a couple of the tall-er guys will step up. I don't plan on any of the frosh playing, although all three of the current 2012 guys will be of the tall-er variety

    Quan West 6'-4"
    Dondre Daley 6'-4"
    Patrick Harris 6'-1"

If we don't have a QB to accurately throw them the ball it really doesn't matter what type of WR we have.

    Re: 2012 Recievers

I like tall receivers and have even made the case that I would be tempted to throw to a tall guy covered by a short guy nearly all the time.

However, the tall guys have to be able to fight for the catches not just expect to catch the ball because they are tall and athetic.

The thing that I like most about Lenz, Gary, Horne, and West is that these guys are true football players who fight for catches and extra yards.

Gary plays a lot bigger than he is. May not have him next year though.

IMO, I would be more surprised if Gary is not on the team.

As up and down as Money was, he was great at using his body outplay DB's in the red zone. We need someone to show that ability.

Yeah it blows that our players are maxed out after we get them on campus and they can't improve year to year. Accuracy can in no way be improved and chemistry/timing with WR's has nothing to do with it. We suck.

Isn't Jennert expected to be back? I have no idea whether he can catch or not, but he's tall. Put him on the outside and let Horne and West dominate from the slot.

I hope he is back and ready to play next year. But a few people on here have been trying to say theres no way hes coming back even though they have yet to be able to deliver any hard evidence.

I don't think he will be back and I don't think he deserves to be back. He is the complete opposite of a good team member, in every sense of the word.
