I'm sure hours worked cuts back some, but they need to hit the recruiting trail hard now.

I think dead week for recruiting is over. Rhoads takes vacation after February 3rd.

I think they will have some important work to do right away as soon as Rhoads hires an OC. Not much time off for Big 12 coaches, especially when the Pinstripe Bowl showed us again the things on which we need to work.

Sounds like they took too much time off while in NYC instead of focusing on the game. Well at least they let the players do that.

    Oh go get bent!

They only get so many practices and so much practice time. What do you expect the staff/team to do? Sit in the hotel room and play shuffleboard until their next practice/team meeting?

Every team at every bowl game every year takes some time as a team to enjoy the location they are in.

Yes they do take some time off. Just saying most of the year heard players talking about practice. During NYC they were talking about different things they were doing with only one day where players were mentioning an intense or good practice. It takes more than one good practice session to win a game.

Maybe you should get bent and realize this is CPR's third year at HC and only second bowl. Our team didn't look like it was the most prepared the first time around either under CPR. My friend and I were talking about it at work tonight and he said thats how Iowa was during the Orange bowl. They enjoyed the festivities too much that year, learned their lesson, and have been more focused about bowl games since then.

That's not to say you don't enjoy your time there, but you still have to continue to do what you did to get there too.

Do you have any facts other than the comments from players about NYC? How does that prove ISU didn't properly focus or prep for this game?

This is nonsense. We got beat. It happens!

Well CPR didn't seem very encouraged about how well the team had been practicing before the game either, but no sorry I don't have a link to his interview before the game. Face it, first time for most kids going to NYC is going to be a little overwhelming. I'm not bashing the staff or the players, it just happens. ISU isn't the first team to enter a game underprepared. It doesn't help that our OC has also more than likely been looking ahead to Ohio State too.

Or it boils down to the fact that both were average teams which struggled mightily with anything resembling consistency.

And that this was a glorified road game.

Sorry dudes, I forgot that our staff and players were above every other team and that we can't get caught with our heads in the clouds.
