    Robert Standard

I think Ive seen him in 2 different games suited up on the sideline. Was he putting in work with special teams and did not redshirt....or does he have a look a like on the team?

I find it odd that he wouldn't RS with so many young backs in the program.

If he didn't RS, then somebody dropped the ball. I'm very excited about what he and Nealy will bring to the table....

Suited up for all home games, and took him to Missouri because he's from St. Louis. Believe this was redshirt year.

    Re: Robert Standard

Perhaps he was the next best back behind Holis, and an injury to White would have required him to play?? Just speculation on my part.

Suiting up means you can't redshirt?

Nealy is going to be way better than Standard from what I've seen.

    Re: Robert Standard

Rob is still a redshirt and if White was to go down Tyler Leo would of been the next guy in after Woody and Holis. Every redshirt player went to one away game and everyone on the team went to the bowl game and suited up as you could see that Iowa State had far more players on the sidelines then the Rutgers did. Sam Richardson is Iowa States 3rd QB so he has to go to every home and away game.

good to know. Looking forward to seeing some of the redshirts from this year get playing time in 2012. Nealy, Standard, Lemke, Pompey, both Sam Richardsons, Bundrage. I'm really excited about this year's recruiting class, but I need to remind myself that there are guys in the 2011 class that I'm just as excited about!

I'm a facebook friend with Robert ..................... I am very impressed with how he carries himself. Articulate and very sharp. He did redshirt. Saw him play numerous games in HS and he is a gamer. He will be very special. IMHO.

Doubt you saw Meyer that year, he was a senior in high school in 2002.
