-The defense will be about the same imo. I do think we will see a better pass rush which will be huge. Knott will be healthy again. Porter will add talent to the front 7.
-Sh. Johnson, White, West, Gary, Lenz and Horne are guys that can make average plays. Some of the redshirts like Standard and Nealy have good potential. Barnett is a pretty good running QB. The Oline will be fine.
With the right OC, the offense can be significantly better- regardless of who is QB.
From comments by the former OC and FootballinTexas, Mensa's offense views passing as a substitute for running. That puts a ton of pressure on having our average WRs out-athlete the defense. All the shallow, horizontal routes tipped off by the formations really compressed the field, eliminating open receivers and taking away from the actua run game. How few times did we see guys open due to blown coverages or defenders slipping?
We should be decent if we can get the QB situation worked out and if we can get any semblances of a pass rush at all. SO frustrating watching the opposing quarterback sippin tea in the backfield while he picks apart our secondary.
