    QB Competition

What a mess we have at QB......

Both Jantz and JB looked bad today.

It'll be a wide open competition heading into spring ball.

    No doubt.

    Our QB's are not good.

We need someone who can throw the ball and make the opposition afraid of our passing game.

We need WR's who want to catch the ball!

    Re: QB Competition

Richardson is supposed to be pretty good. Never know till he takes the field. So far barnett has played decent. He is only a freshman. If at any point you hear "jantz takes the field" next year we might be in trou le

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

    Re: QB Competition

If people do not think that Sam Richardson or even true freshman Grant Rohach aren't going to be making a run at the starting job next year are severely mistaking.

Jantz was absolutely unbearable to watch. He has zero understanding of the offense, can not run the zone read at all, absolutely atrocious accuracy....gave us no spark at all. If Barnett wasn't injured, I have a serious problem with the coaching staff's decision.

He's done at QB at ISU IMHO.

    Re: QB Competition

I have a friend who is a quarterback on the team and he has said more than once that Richardson is consistently the most accurate thrower. It will be very interesting come next August to see how things play out. No doubt the experience Barnett has had will definitely help him in the offseason.

    Disappointing Loss. Still Optimistic.

    Re: QB Competition

I think it will be an open competition but Jantz and Barnett will both have a slight lead on Richardson as spring ball opens up.

WIDE OPEN would be a huge understatement, in my opinion.

We didn't have a BCS-caliber QB under center today and anyone could see it.

I still think JAntz will be QB next year if he cant cut down on the stupid throws/ints.

    Re: QB Competition

Wide open? Jantz better not be in the mix. It's obvious his ankle isn't his only problem. He has to remember what color Jersey he's wearing.

    Re: QB Competition

Jantz is an absolutely terrible passer. Good athlete, yes. QB, no. Saying he'll be in the QB situation next year really would be not good

if Jantz isn't a contender for the starting job that will be a GOOD THING for ISU.

How can you say that? What makes you think he can? This is who he is. It's obvious that he can't not turn the ball over. The injury excuse was just that, an excuse. If he's our starting QB next year, we're in serious trouble..
