    Templeton Rye

Imagine my surprise when I spotted five bottles on the shelf of my local Quik Trip store.
Is this becoming more prevalent, or is it no longer as popular as it was?

Anyway, I thought that if any of you are still having a problem finding it, try your QuikTrip in Des Moines.

    Thank you.

Same place I found mine. Apparently they provide more during the Christmas season.

Weekly Templeton Rye Thread. We need a Templeton Rye on the Forum menu right next to ISU football.

They are becoming more prevalent, as supply is catching up with demand.

Ahhhhh, I see. Thank you for the clarification Cyber.

Well, I didn't mean to beat a dead horse, what with the allusions to a weekly Templeton Rye thread!

I just thought I'd pass along a bit of information. I have seen the small batch bottles bring over 100.00 in several charity auctions this fall and early winter and wanted to add my two cents worth. I had never tried it before and it certainly is smooth just over ice. I may have to buy another bottle or two for next year when things are a bit leaner.

Well actually... no. I didn't. And before you ask, I didn't stay at a holiday inn express last night either.

They're still making the small batch bottles? Or are these from years past? If they are making them still, where can I get some?

I purchased bottle #213 from barrel # 575, batch #4, bottled on October 24th 2011 at my local Quik Trip tonight at 6:05.

    Enjoy.

    Re: Templeton Rye

I came close to buying a bottle this past weekend, but I decided to enjoy my hand-crafted TR first. I only crack it open for special occasions, and since my sis-in-law just got engaged, this weekend will be one of those times.

Thank you for the update. (Maybe I WON'T be buying extra bottles to sell next fall.
It sounds as though next year it will be a bit more available.)
