    Cost of Bowl Sponsorship

Some of the companies that sponsor bowls do not seem like very big companies. I'm sure it varies with the bowl but I've never seen any numbers.

Does anyone have any ides what it costs to sponsor a bowl?

    Re: Cost of Bowl Sponsorship

BCS Bowls are like 5-6million a year. All I can find for some of the smaller ones is "six-figures". I'll keep looking

Edit: The Idaho Potato Bowl costs 375k a year going up in price to 450k at the end of the contract (6 years). Source
St. Petersburg Bowl is between 350k and 500k. Source

    Re: Cost of Bowl Sponsorship

I think the Independence Bowl was asking something like $1 million when they were looking for a title sponsor around the time of our last trip there. The current title sponsorship cost is estimated at $1.5 million.

Back when the bowl was looking for a title sponsor, one of Larry Flynt's companies offered to sponsor it. Larry's most famous product is Hustler Magazine. The bowl declined the offer.
