Were you the one that said the UNI football game was going to be sunny and 70's about 1 week out? And then turned out to be pouring for almost the entire day?

It's still saying 47 and sunny for me... I'll certainly take that in the middle of the day in New York. It's been fairly nice in New England so far, given my usual context of Iowa weather this time of year, so I don't think us hearty Iowa folks are going to be too bothered by anything in those ballparks. (Get it?)

As long as its not -10 and snowing...I'll be happy as hell to be there and enjoying the
    festivities.

In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

The game of football was supposed to played in all kinds of weather. I could care less if it's 30- or 70 above. Play the game! People seem to think that Rutgers will have an advantage because of the colder weather in New York. I call bull ****!
I've sat in games at JTS that were twice as bad as NYC is going to be. I predict ISU by 12.

I'm a little concerned about the field. They probably don't have us playing on the well-rooted baseball field. Rather, we are probably playing on new sod (new for the Army game and some high school games) put over the baseball field. I would guess that the warmer and wetter the weather, the worse the field will be. Cold would probably help hold the new sod together.

FWIW, Coach Schiano was informed that the field would be in much better condition than it was for the RU vs. USMA game. As a Yankee fan, it was embarrassing to say the least.

This shot was taken from Section 115 looking at homeplate.

The resident amateur met on our board has put up his comments on the weather here. As we get closer to the day, he'll update the thread with more info.

Hey guys! First off, I hope you're all enjoying a perfect Christmas today (or, if you celebrate Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, a perfect holiday as well!!)! Second, follow RU #'s link here, as he and "Bac2TheRac" know their stuff. #'s, about a week out, predicted the 6+ inches, 30MPG gusts, and 32-degrees, for our game with West Virginia back in October. No, that's not normal - not even close - but it has either rained, sleeted, snowed, iced, or whatever, for our last 6-home games against The 'Eers. Anyway, these guys know their stuff, and it's looking good for the day before the game and gameday - for now, still early this time of year - for that mid/upper 40's and clear day. Could get nasty on Saturday, however:

In case you didn't know.... ISU has a meteorology program too with plenty of people giving their predictions on this board.

Secondly... How long is 'about a week out' because if it's 7 days, that's foolishness to be that detailed in a forecast and if it panned out I say luck. Now at three days, maybe. I don't get detailed like that until 2 days out.

As for Friday, decently mild. I'd say in the mid/upper 40s the way things look right now. Chance of rain on Friday.(some snow not too far north of there is possible, but near the coast, I wouldn't see that as a threat right now)
