Paging the Computer Experts!!! Laptop Docking Station Issue

Calling all Cyclone computer experts to my rescue!

Background information - at work (small engineering firm), I recently had my laptop upgraded to a much newer tablet PC. It is a Toshiba Protege M780, running 64-bit Windows 7 with an Intel Core i& CPU M 620 @ 2.67 GHz 2.67 GHz with 4.0 GB RAM. The graphics card is an Intel HD Graphics (Core i7). I have a docking station and am running the second monitor, a Dell.

My problem - each time I dock the laptop, the display relationship between the laptop and the second monitor is forgotten (see attached screenshot for how I want it to be - I want the mouse to go straight across from the laptop screen to the second monitor despite the difference in height) and I have to reset this every single time I dock. I leave the office with the laptop frequently for meetings and to work at home, so I currently have to reset the display relationship multiple times a day. I had UltraMon 2.7.1 installed and heard that it might be causing the problems so I uninstalled but no change to my issue.

Our small company "IT guy" has been no help, and extensive Google-ing did not provide a solution either.

So - I turn to my fellow Cyclones for advice. Thanks in advance.

I have to start my laptop after I have docked it for it to work with my multiple monitors and then wait for it to finish booting for my monitors to work right.

So do I. So the question is whether the OP is rebooting or just plugging it in and hoping it figures it out.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

Just plugging it in and hoping it figures it out. I would rather not reboot every time, rather wake from sleep condition.
