Royce should never bring the ball up

Listen, I love Royce as much as the next guy, but when he brings the ball up, he just walks it up. It completely kills the uptempo offense, and he never hits a guy running up court.

Not much good comes out of him bringing the ball up either. It usually results him going 1 on 1 and lots of times it results in a turnover. He's a power forward with good ball handling skills for his position, he is not a point-forward.

the guy has one turnover on full court press and you start a new thread about it?

False. He should bring the ball up once in a while, especially when he gets the defensive board

I think he should be bringing the ball up 75% of the time

What uptempo team are you talking about?

Where did I ever bring up this game? And I posted that before he turned the ball over.

Watch the offense when Bubu gets the outlet vs. when Royce just keeps it. It's night and day. Bubu will push it and usually good things happen, whereas Royce slows it down and never pushes it.

We must be watching two different games. I don't see anyone "pushing" it except in obvious fast break situations.

Bubu pushed it, missed a layup and Ejim got the follow. Bubu pushed it, and hit SC for a 3.

Re: Royce should never bring the ball up

When he does bring it up he usually finishes with a monsterous dunk that results in fans and the team getting pumped up. I don't have a problem with him bringing the ball up every once in a while.

Okay so that's twice. Good work, Bubu.

Usually must mean two different things to us.

Re: Royce should never bring the ball up

Royce should never bring the ball up by design, but if he gets a board and wants to push the ball I'm fine with that. The only negative of him bringing the ball up is that he can't post up if he's on the perimeter.

    I agree with this.

Can't watch the game but I really wish McGee could get a start before the Big XII conference play starts, or at least Bubu.

Re: Royce should never bring the ball up

We don't have anybody suitable to "bring it up" in the B12. We don't have the solution this year.
