Seems like we should have had a lot of fouls on other teams we played this year, because they did that same move all game long in each game.

The same thing was happening in I belive a Dallas Cowboys game earlier this year. They never called it but it was on ESPN the next day. You can kind of see the lineman lunge forword a little bit trying to get their whole body into the 'hut'

I think he said stemming. The defender was jerking forward repeatedly trying to draw an off sides. He may have been saying something too.

I think he said stemming. The defender was jerking forward repeatedly trying to draw a false start. He may have been saying something too.

    ESPN's Mark Schlabach tweet:

"Stemming -- trying to get Cajuns to jump by flinching, etc. RT @fess1524: @Mark_Schlabach so what was that last call illegal spinning?"

Re: Aztec dlineman called for illegal spinning...

saw this as well, man is that coach going to chew his *** after the game...

Not trying to take anything away from a 50 yd made field goal though, but I dont think 55 goes in. It really helped with the kickers confidence

Who doesn't like jerking forward repeatedly though?

Re: Aztec dlineman called for illegal spinning...

I'm sorry, but if jerking forward repeatedly, but never crossing the line is a penalty, then the rule is flawed. The defense should be able to do whatever they want, as long as it is behind the line. I watched the end of that game and I was glad that LA Laf. won, but SDSU got screwed!

Re: Aztec dlineman called for illegal spinning...

Stemming is pre-snap motion by the defense. Most often used to change a defensive front to confuse the offense.
