    P90x2

I just got the new version of p90x yesterday and pretty excited to start it and compare it against the original. Did anyone else get it?

I didn't order it but let us know how it goes. I was kind of waiting on others before I went out and bought it. Right now I'm doing a hybrid P90x/Insanity routine

    Re: P90x2

Would have had it by now if it weren't for a billing issue (preordered back in Aug/Sep, bank switched from Visa to MasterCard and sent us new cards with entirely different numbers, Beachbody tried charging the old card and the bank declined it. Fortunately I figured out what happened). Really looking forward to getting it.

Will do; I'm starting on Monday. I just finished Insanity and was thinking about doing the hybrid as well.

Thats unfortunate, but at least you got it figured out. I understand they sold 80,000 pre-orders of the new version. That's insane.

Sounds like you're gearing up for a hot-body contest.

I just finished the first week and it was completely different than the original P90x. Even though they're a bit awkward and hard to get used to, the stability balls offer great variety to the workouts. Almost every dvd in the first week uses them.

The yoga was cut down from 90 mins to 65 mins, but it was still a really tough workout, perhaps the toughest in week one.

There is tons of stretching warming up/cooing down (about 20 mins). It's almost overkill - I find myself disinterested in the foam rolling as they spend about 4 mins just doing that.

    Excited to start week two

    Re: P90x2

I hate the 90 min yoga workout in P90x. I just quit doing it and replaced it with other workouts.

Yeah, I did the same thing. This yoga workout is actually a lot better than the first P90, not just because it's shorter. The holds aren't as long and the core yoga moves are better.

Just finished round 2 of p90x today. Trying to decide if I should try p90x2 or something more traditional like starting strength

Being at my parents' house over Christmas it's been almost impossible for me to get into it, so I'm treating this week and next as "preview" weeks, and I'm going to hit it for real starting Monday the 9th.
