Bell and Singleton better be ready this weekend

    Texas Tech receiver Michael Crabtree:

    Receptions: 60
    Yards: 920
    TD's - 14

Through 5 games. He's a freshman. He already has half the number of TD's Todd Blythe has in his career. He'll probably get 2000 yards receiving this year. Unbelievable.

Yes, because action and scoring are so boring... I love the way they play. I would love to see a Texas Tech v. Hawaii matchup, over under 115.

Oh dear Lord, THAT would be a nonstop scoring fest for those two teams!

The two starting WR for Tech are 1 and 2 in the conference in receptions and yards. the D-line needs to get their hands up to deflect the short slants and crossing patterns. Tech will be cut blocking all game the d-line needs to stay light and quick on their feet and that will really help out the d-backs.

I posted something awhile back about their O-Line. TT will have plenty of time to pass. They average 6'6" 336 lbs across the line! I know some say they don't go deep much but that short stuff has been killing us the past couple seasons so that's no consolation.

Scoring a ton and competing in the Big 12 south really sucks. I wonder how they have any fans.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE watching points scored but it just seems cheap. Spreading your lineman a yard apart just doesnt seem right .

I'd probably love it if I were RR fan.

With an average size of 6'6" 330lbs I would say a yard apart is probably necesarry to give those big guys any room to move

Hey, i think we are notorius for taking the star players out of the equation for teams. Unfortunately, that makes other players on their team into new stars and they beat us. =(

TT's whole philosophy is to throw short, throw short, throw short, throw short, then BAM hit you deep when you come up to stop the short stuff. Or break a long run off the short stuff.

BRYCE - thats funny right there......

Funny thing about it was, when Chiz named Mcfarland the O-Coor and i went and looked at his stats, i was excited that we may have an offense that would score huge points....at least on the message board we wouldnt be trying to figure out how we were going to manage 28 points against the likes of UNI or Toledo - both defensive juggerknots.....

I hope Bell, Singleton and everyone of our dbacks eat a lot of pasta friday, they will need some energy running after these guys all day.....

What i would love to see is a early hit on their qb - i don't care anything about giving up a big play whatever, their qb never gets hit it seems, one good smack could change his thinking a bit....happy feet, excited - Drew Bledsoe dance in the pocket....

    Go clones!!!!

I think we used wide line splits in Donnie Duncan's first year in 1979. I can't remember if we did it all year but we started the season doing it.

We should play 6-7 DBs all night. Let Bowen spy their RB and dont blitz!

Hell we might need to play 5 linebackers and 7 dbs and 6 lineman to stop these guys.
