    Re: Osemele SI all-american

How did Marvin McNutt not get at least an honorable mention? I'm no Hawkeye fan, but you don't have to be one to recognize that he is a ridiculously talented WR. And it's not like he was an under the radar guy. He performed. averaged 100 yards and a TD every game. That's pretty impressive. His absence on the list is kind of shocking.

...and with that, I've met my "defending hawkeye players" quota for the year.

Ryan Broyles should have been first team, injured or not.

Marcus coker received 3rd team AA somewhere, but not mcnutt. Unfortunate imo.

Agreed. He's better than Blackmon, IMO. Almost as much talent, and more polished.

This. I love me some Coker, but you can't logically explain including Coker and not McNutt.

It'll be interesting to see KO in the guard slot in the NFL. I feel like his holding penalties will probably decrease with the stress decreasing at that spot as well.

I wasn't one of the bashers, but I'll throw it back to you, do you feel 1st Team AA is justified? I don't know what they look for, or the criteria, but it seems he had an awful lot of penalties and miscues, some at critical times.

    Way to go KO!

And yes, completely wild that McNutt wasn't acknowledged. Nothing against Coker, but McNutt is really rare. Some incredible plays this year. I swear they lose, outright, two more games without him (Pitt and Michigan - maybe even that ridiculous Indiana game - doubt that one, but it sure as heck would have been a lot closer without his efforts). That's what you call an impact player.

I am pretty sure he will be moved to guard for his run blocking also.

Good job holding out until mid December on that.
