    that was quick

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

    Haley is a jerk but.....

    awful

Take away any coaches QB, all pro RB, TE, and best defensive player and tell me if they will be any good. Firing Haley is ridiculous unless there is something we don't know about

He never had control of the team nor the assistants. He and Weiss were a train wreck thanks in large part to Haley. You hire an OC to coach the offense and call plays, Haley did everything to sever that relationship. I have lost interest since he has been there, bring in a guy like Paul Rhoads/Dick Vermeil that has some positive emotion.

Not suprised, the call in show after the game was pretty ugly. They wanted heads to roll and they got their wish. Please get Cohwer (sp?).

you're probably right, but I'm still not shedding any tears for the guy. I'm guessing not many Chief's players are either.

I'm not either. I know the guy is a jerk and not well liked. But they did go the playoffs last year.

Take away any teams All Pro RB, QB, TE, and safety and there isn't 1 team in the NFL that wins more than 7 games.

They went to the playoffs, but were immediately exposed as pretenders when they got there. Their schedule wasn't exactly murderer's row, either. And injuries are no excuse, either. Everyone has injuries. Part of being a good coach is finding a way to succeed despite injuries.

    Re: Haley fired in KC

Didn't he hire Chan Gailey to be his first OC and then fire him the week before the season started? After a month of camp and 4 preseason games?

Had to go, no reason the Chiefs should have 5 blow out losses this year like they have. They need to draft a QB
