today showed why ISU beat Iowa

The Hawk stink and their fans need to stop thinking ISU played out of their head to beat them. The only reason ISU beat Iowa is the Clones didn't hand Iowa 14 points like they have every other team they have played this year.

Sorry Hawk fans, you lost to ISU because your team just isn't as good as the Cyclones, and every game the Clones are getting closer to being a good team while your team is heading backwards. There is only one thing to do: Give Ferentz a raise!

Dude, both teams lost embarrassing games today. Is this really the time to be posting something like this?

I mean, after an ISU win and an Iowa loss - sure. But if somebody didn't know better, you'd think ISU just picked up a huge win - not a huge loss.

I love people trying to figure out all the reasons why Iowa is bad.

They are forgetting one main reason. They are not talented football players.

FYI.. it is a Cyclone Message Board

Knock the talent all you want - the coaching (staff) is the biggest problems.

I've got a great idea! Let's cover a receiver at the end of a game with a linebacker! Or even a better idea - give an 8 yard cushion to a player (Hardy) that burned Iowa for 3 TDs last year!

Of my favorite - let's try a flea flicker on 3rd and 8 on the other team's 35.

cushion had nothing to do with Hardy. He burns Iowa no matter how far back you are.

It is really hard for Iowa fans to face the fact the reason they had decent teams for a few years is because they had some nice talent with some players who blossomed in college (sanders, clark, banks, greenway, and the tons of lineman)

Simply dont have talent there anymore.

We beat Iowa because we're the better team and we were ready to play.

Seriously, the Hawks have nothing. I'm totally with ajk4st8 on the lack of talent argument. They can't even make a damn extra point.

I just find it interesting that NO iowa fans ever mention NO TALENT as a factor to why they are 8-10 over the past 2 years.

It is always motivation, injury, arrests, poor coaching, or the "other teams superbowl".

It totally reminds me of when we had Fizer - Tinsley and co. We had great players and made some nice runs, but when those studs who blossomed in college left so did the wins.

Iowa lost to Indiana on home coming week and it wasn't even close. If they hadn't had their prayers answered at the end of the first half it would have been evey uglier. The Clone have there problems, but they are getting better every week except for the TOs and special team play. The Hawk look pretty much bad at everything except stopping the run.

Both teams lost embarrassing games today??????? R U serious??

ISU lost in one of the toughest places to play football and throw out two costly interceptions and we have a pretty darn good chance of winning the game. OH and we went into the game as 22.5 pt underdogs.

The awesome hawks got their a#ses handed to them in a game that wasn't even remotely close and any hawk fan I have talked to this week called this game an easy win. I am also quite sure that the hawks were favored quite convincingly. Add in the fact that, in the post game interview with Al Young he shows the typical hawk arrogance in that he says that....."we won the game for them since we didn't play like we should" excuse.

WE played darn good except for a few turnovers that buried us. We made huge improvements today in a hostile environment. The hawks were home in front of nothing but your crybaby fans against a submediocre team and got dominated for the most part. Not even close to a comparison..

Pot calling the kettle. We are 1-4 and could possibly go 1-11 still. Not to say Iowa doesn't suck, cause they do.

But we are in totally different boats.

Chizik is beginning his program and trying to get his program running here. We are suffering tons of pains but seeing improvements.

Iowa has been getting worse over the last 3 years.

People need to quit focusing on Iowa Iowa Iowa, who cares, enjoy that they lost, but be ****** that ISU lost also. Iowa was 3 weeks ago, a lot has happend since then.

Sounds like a few Cyscuses to me. "Minus the turnovers...."

    Goes both ways eh?

Iowa got dominated - absolutely. So did ISU (by a very, extremely mediocre NU team). I believe Ball State and USC would have something to say about how tough their stadium has been this year.

He most certainly has some growing up to do - no doubt.

Today was a huge step back, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a few of the other guys get a few reps in games.
