Will a win tomorrow counterbalance Wednesday's loss?

Would definitely be a confidence booster at a time when the team probably needs it.

    Thoughts?

Re: Will a win tomorrow counterbalance Wednesday's loss?

Nope, sky has already fallen. We're going to lose the rest of the games we play this season by 30+ points unless CFH personally comes to thus site and gets his whupping by the internet tough guys...

Re: Will a win tomorrow counterbalance Wednesday's loss?

To me it would counterbalance the Drake loss.

A win over Michigan and we're likely 11-2 going into conference play. That would be amazing, all things considered. 10-3 wouldn't be the end of the world but that's too many losses given the schedule we've played.

Win tomorrow and the past couple of weeks will fade into distant memory quickly.

It would be okay if we made it with two losses, not three, through the nonconference. That means Iowa is dead meat.

Re: Will a win tomorrow counterbalance Wednesday's loss?

IMHO, yes it would. I put the bar at 3 losses in noncon, with 2 being "we're good", 3 being "not the end of the world but not great" and anything more than 3 and we're in deep trouble. We can get through our noncon with only 2 losses, that would be pretty solid.

It does suck particularly that the 2 losses would be to Drake and UNI, but would it really be any different if we won all the other non-con games and lost to, say, Rice and Grand Valley State?

That said, I don't see us pulling ourselves together quick enough to win tomorrow.

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

Any football win trumps anything basketball wise unless its a tournament win. So if we win the Kstate game and then the upcoming bowl game I will be tickled pink throughout basketball season.

Re: Will a win tomorrow counterbalance Wednesday's loss?

    I think it does.

If a team is going to "find" itself it usually takes place on the road, in a hostile environment, with their backs against the wall. They have a great opportunity tomorrow.

Never to high, never to low.

Yes, this team really needs to show they can move on and play like they should.

I'm a basketball guy first so I would rather see the basketball team win.
