    1,500 students show up yesterday

For the students only practice. What does everyone think, is 1,500 kind of low considering the practice was closed to everyone except the students and free food and drinks were provided?

It seems like a pretty decent number.. how many student tickets actually get sold each year? anyone?

Well last year they sold out of student season tickets at 7000. This year they increased that number to 7700 but they haven't sold out yet, which definitely needs to happen.

Oh, and if anyone reads that article, it wasn't a student who attempted to "throw a 15 yard post pass".... it was Brett Meyer who threw a 15 yard pass to a student who attempted to catch it.

7,000 has been pretty regular lately.

I was disappointed with the "open practice". It was more like a cheer session rather than practice. The team was only on the field for like 20-30 minutes.

I'm going to email Pollard and I suggest those of you that are not students do the same. Why can we not do something like this for everyone? We need to do this like Nebraska does or like the old high school pop scrimmages. People can get in by bringing a can of food for the poor or something and it can get us all rialed up for the Toledo game the week before. Let's take a number like 1500 and turn it into 15000.

You're complaining about free admission to a closed practice that also provided free food and such?

    C'mon...

I went and it seemed about the same number attended last year. It was also too damn hot there again (just like last year though! ;))

Pollard did state the the student tickets have not all been sold yet but that is the same thing that was said last year at the open practice. I am pretty confident that we will sell out the student section again this year.

Nebraska had 55,000 people at the spring football game. They have their priorities in order for football. Only game in town.

However, their Lil' Red bball team will be miserable - about 3 or 4 real players are returning. Will help Clones to post season tournaments. Any person wanting to start should apply to Lincoln including walk-ons. They finally hired some more assistant coaches. Ranked Creighton will be their first game out of the shoot.

CFH HMagic bball season next year.
