    Ames Area Golf Stores

I am looking at asking for a new set of irons for Christmas but would like to try them out on a simulator first.

Is there anywhere around Ames that has this? Any golf courses still open that would have these available to hit on a range?

Looking at Taylormade Burner Plus irons, so if you have any comments on those from experience let me know that too.

    Thanks!

Thanks, I didn't know if they had a simulator in there or not and their website is not working for me.

Get fitted. I've got Titleist AP1's. Love them. I needed 1" long though and it made a huge difference.

I must confess that I am a huge Titleist fan (Vokey wedges and Scotty putters too). You simply cannot go wrong with Titleist.

    Re: Ames Area Golf Stores

I would agree with what has been said about getting fitted. I finally took lessons this summer and my instuctor also ended up bending my irons to fit my swing. I would however suggest getting what u can afford. Taylormade burners are some of the best clubs out there for your money. I have a set myself and love em. Actually every club I have are TM except for my sand wedge.
