That doesn't make any sense. It's already a huge rivalry.

Yeah, honestly noone cares. Both teams are a flop. Im not saying that because I hate Iowa, but there just isnt any substantial hype for either team.

They didn't have any TV sets watching because they were all there

What? Just a few weeks ago I heard talk of a Big Ten Championship coming from both sides of this "epic" rivalry. I thought that game was being played to finally settle the debate about which program truly can lay claim to being the most dominant football program in college football history? Guess not....

People didn't know it was the hero's game because no one was wearing a cape.

It won't become a true rivalry until they play the game for a few years and they actually have some competitive games with memorable moments. You can't just create a rivalry overnight, you have to have some moments that people will still be talking about years later. I doubt anyone will remember this year's game much other than Nebraska won it fairly easily.

Thats not fair...Friday is obviously an outlier as most Hawk and Husker fans flooded their favorite Wal-Marts on Black Friday.

Problem is most of them ate way too much turkey and mashed taters, and also drank way too much Busch Light on thanksgiving that they are nestled all cozy in their trailers by 10 PM on Thursday night.

Manufactured rivalry does not equal ratings. Take note Big 10.

Take notes? They must not have learned their lesson with these manufactured rivalries. They already attempted to build one they said would compete with Ohio State vs. Michigan, USC vs. UCLA, Texas vs. OU, Bama vs. The Barn, and that was Penn State vs. Michigan State. When you think of college football rivalries Penn State vs. Michigan State probably never even crosses your mind... most people probably don't even know the Big Ten calls that a rivalry. Give them credit though... it has a really great trophy.

How highly rated was Iowa's other B10 rivalry game? Purdue. Didn't know they were a rival, until B10 announced it was UI protected rival.
