If this is Mack Brown's last year.....

Who are some obvious succesors? With Gena Chizik and Muschamp already moved on, who are the obvious choices?

Just curious since this would be such a high profile job....

I'm surprised there hasn't been enough chatter about Mac out. Maybe it died down after the A&M victory, but I thought for sure he'd be out after losing to K-State

I would love it if they were dumb enough to try to get Chizik. Chizik would take that job IMO, but I'm sure he's "firmly entrenched" at Auburn.

hopefully Chizik...would be awesome and he'd destroy that program similar to what he's gonna do in two years at Auburn...lucky *** won a title cuz he paid Cam Newton

Or Texas Longhorn hero and current OC Major Applewhite. I have a feeling they are grooming him to replace Mack Brown whenever he leaves now that Muschamp left.

If they had any thoughts of getting rid of Brown and then let Meyer slip away to OSU that's a bad job outta the Texas AD. Unless they had info he wasn't interested.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Why does Texas need Co-OC's with the guy they brought in from Boise State calling the plays rather than Applewhite?

For the bolded reason above. Train a "CEO" Head Coach.

i thought they brought in the Boise OC, because Major wasn't cutting it.
