    Interesting Point

Assuming an OSU win over Oklahoma Saturday a real argument can be made that OSU has a better resume than Bama.

    Wins over current top 25:
    OSU 5 Bama 2

    Wins over Current top 50:
    OSU 7 Bama 5

Wins over FBS teams with winning records:
    OSU 6 Bama 3

    Losses at home:
    OSU 0 Bama 1

    Conference titles:
    OSU 1 Bama 0

    Losses to 4 touchdown underdogs:
    OSU 1 Bama 0

Bama's resume is better only in who they lost to (LSU as opposed to Iowa State). It is not better in who has the best number of good wins. Bama should not be a lock to the BCS championship. If OSU wins impressively over Oklahoma, they should be given real consideration as well.

    Re: Interesting Point

I think it will come down to if the voters want a rematch or not. It's my understanding that the computers all put OSU above Bama, it's the human polls that are dragging them down. Also, if LSU loses to Georgia, I think they still go to the NC, but I wonder if that would hurt Bama more in the computer system as well.

Good way to prove that the sec is the best conference. Don't let them play anyone else. I don't want to see a rematch. I want okie state in there, I think it needs to be two conference champs. I disagreed with the year nu went and couldn't win the conference.

If Okie State had lost earlier than Bama, they would be #2.

Lets hope Okie State wins. Would love to root for them to a NC.

I have no interest in watching two SEC teams play for the national title. I think TV ratings would be way down if this happens.

Really good points, but when it comes to the BCS, the only thing that really matters is this stat...

    Last Loss
    OSU- 11/18/11 Bama- 11/5/11

Does LSU want a rematch? That would be like us wanting a rematch against anyone in our conference or Iowa.

This. Exactly this. It's not like Bama fans wouldn't watch if they weren't in it. I'd think the viewer drop off from that would be little to none, because and SEC team would still be in it. I just don't see any positives coming from an LSU-Alabama rematch. The only positive I can come up with is that I'll be well-rested the next day because I'll have fallen asleep in the first quarter if I tried to watch it.

    Re: Interesting Point

This amazes me that none of you know by now, a 1 loss team in the SEC is always better than any other one loss team in the country. Hell, from what I hear from the media, a 1 loss SEC team is probably better than an undefeated team from another conference because the loss came from an SEC opponent. The fact that only field goals were kicked in the first game between these two only proves that it's Defense and speed that win games, not touchdowns. Especially since the only reason neither team scored a touchdown is because Chuck Norris even admitted that he couldn't score a touchdown on LSU or Bama.

Ugh, personally, I just don't want to see it. The whole purpose should be to put two teams together who haven't played each other yet. Granted, if there truly isn't a team that deserves a chance, 2 or 3 losses, fine. But losing on the road in 3 OTs beats the hell out of losing at home without scoring a touchdown. And I still say, how do you justify it to LSU if Bama were to happen to win? Just throw away that first game, it doesn't matter anymore? Even though you beat them at their stadium.

There needs to be a BCS rule that you can't play in the championship game if you don't win your conference.

I agree, winning the conference should be what does or does not get you in the National Championship Game. Also it's pretty sad that most people don't want to see an LSU Bama rematch, yet they are still probably going to have one. I was watching our game the other day and Mr. Heisman candidate wanted a rematch and the smarter one said he wouldn't.

    Re: Interesting Point

LSU may very well be the best team in the country, but I want them to lose to Georgia in the SEC championship just so we don't have this match-up happen again. Oklahoma State would be the most dynamic offense they have seen this year, its just their defense, but with the amount of weeks to prepare I could see them coming in and putting up a solid effort against anyone in the country.
