    Cell phone advice...

Without starting a flame war, what phone do you use and what plan do you have?
I want to move off of the Blackberry line (Sprint) to something else. I have 3 months left on this plan but can upgrade my phone on 12/1/11. I have the 79.95 unlimited plan. Mostly I text and check the news sites on the Internet(Data). If I have a phone that has wifi and am in the Ames area 95% of the time (esp. around campus) can I get check the news without having a Data plan (Internet), also how can I check how much Data I use daily. Sorry, I haven't kept up on the cell side of life.

    TIA

I have an LG Optimus V android phone. Nothing fancy, but it works very well for me. I am "grandfathered" into a $25 a month plan with Virgin Mobile, which is an amazing deal for unlimited data and 300 voice minutes. May not sound like much, but I have never used more than 200 minutes; I place most of my calls over wifi. It's now $35 a month, though.

Do you want to stay on Sprint?

I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story.

I have an iPhone, but am looking at the google nexus. The problem with not having a data plan is often times you have to have a data plan to have the smart phones, and I'm not good at the workarounds.

    Re: Cell phone advice...

You can use IPhone with sprint and with unlimited data, that would be a pretty good deal.
