A&M's Franchione sold inside information to boosters

Wow...making $2 million per year and you need another $1,200 per month to finance your personal website? Poor, poor judgement in my opinion.

FOX Sports on MSN - COLLEGE FOOTBALL - Franchione sold insider info to boosters

I don't think this is the best idea in the world. A quote from the article:

Franchione made subscribers sign a confidentiality agreement and said he doesn't believe any of the inside information was used for gambling
Seriously?! What elese would you use it for?

Re: A&M's Franchione sold inside information to boosters

Ouch, that could do him in. After the Miami debacle on national tv, the natives were already getting resless. I'm sure the NCAA could find some serious fault with getting paid by boosters to reveal secrets that otherwise aren't released. And I'm guessing he didn't report it on his taxes. His head may be meeting the choping block...

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

Isn't that basically subscribing to Cyclonenation or Hawkeyenation.com? Fran is just getting the profits.

Re: A&M's Franchione sold inside information to boosters

There are a lot of rules about what a representative of the school can and cannot reveal to any potential boosters, let alone with them paying for it. That's not to mention the problems that can come out of it if he ever said things about potential recruits. The rule book is pretty darn long and I wouldn't be surprised if this gets investigated.

It's one thing being an unnamed source in an article but being the named source of a premium service like this could really cause some problems. It's just my semi-educated guess based on the rules and how I've read them.

Yeah, with the way things are going down there, I have a feeling this could be it for him.

No. Fran is an employee of the Texas A&M athletic department while the individuals that operate Cyclone Nation and Hawkeye Nation are not employees.

That information could be a huge edge if you were going a sportsbook.

I hope the coachescontact with some of their commitments & recruits, I have a feeling they maybe reconsidering.

Note to self DO NOT pess off Rouge 52, something gives me the feeling he may own a high caliber rifle that could take me out from 300yards.

I was blacked out from seeing the guns. Describe them.

Fran needed to hire a chaplain for himself.
