Nothing to be ashamed of today

Very good effort defensively. We had a couple big mistakes that killed ourselves but I like the effort we gave today. Beat K-State next week! I expect a very competitive game.

Re: Nothing to be ashamed of today

I agree. The defensive effort was outstanding, and good enough to win a game like this. The offense just never got on track. The good news is that they fought hard and I think kept a little of the momentum from last week's victory. They should go into KSU expecting to win.

I agree. Offense has a lot of work to do, but defense looked pretty good on the whole. Nothing to be ashamed of losing down in Norman to a better team.

We played well defensively, not a letdown game at all. We will beat K-State!

Re: Nothing to be ashamed of today

Agree...OU had 4 turnovers plus the muffed punt so our 4 TO's are evened out. Just needed more out of the offense, but weather and a tough environment today...wasn't meant to be

Any offense and we win that game.

Disappointing, but some hope to be seen there.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

Re: Nothing to be ashamed of today

Agreed. If you told me we would hold OU to 3 points in the 2nd half and cover teh spread last week, I would have taken it.

Off to Manhattan to go 7-5!

Re: Nothing to be ashamed of today

here we go blaming the alarms..... if the alarms were a big factor, then why did the d play so well? only the offense was unable to sleep
    ?

Re: Nothing to be ashamed of today

I think any reasonable person would agree that there's nothing to be ashamed of. As I said in the game thread, our offense didn't play good, but Oklahoma's defense is a lot better than OSU's or Tech's. This team could have given up after the muffed kick return, but they continued to battle the entire length of the game. This is a respectable loss and a lot of positives can be taken away from it.

Re: Nothing to be ashamed of today

The offense wasn't great, but Oklahoma has a good defense. They aren't sisters of the poor. They are good. It was partly us, it was partly them.

We are a good team who was playing a great team with their backs against the wall and they had to win to have a chance at a BCS game.

I am no where near down on this team.

Re: Nothing to be ashamed of today

Lots of disappointment from people about the offense, but let's not forget that OU has probably the best defense in the Big XII. Team played very tough football today and could never get the momentum, however, past teams would have folded and gotten blown out. Very impressed with the way this team fights for everything.

    Go Cyclones!!
