It's too bad to see him go. I know he had some injury problems but he was a solid closer. I'll miss him

Re: Joe Nathan signs with Rangers

The Twins got more out of Joe Nathan, than they would had of out A.J. Pierzynski, whom they traded to the Giants in exchange for Nathan.

The Twins are screwed if they plan on going with Capps in the 9th inning.

How long is your brother signed for and what's the chances of getting him to Minny?

He is in his second year of arbitration... If he has another good year he will probably price himself out of the Twins range...

Re: Joe Nathan signs with Rangers

Good relievers can be created. Aguilera was a starter first, Guardado also, and Nathan himself was only a middle reliever until he came untested to the Twins. Nathan's numbers were outstanding but it will have just have to be the next man up.

Capps was on a one year deal. Doubt they bring him back period, let alone as the closer.

    Perkins?

He'll be a great replacement for Feliz as a reliever! Feliz is moving into rotation now. Nice pick up!

Can be, yes... But the success rates are not good.... Just look how many guys get trotted out as closers and fall on their face. It takes a different kind of mentality that many don't have or arent able to find.

Bummer for the Twins. He is one of the better closers in the league although he has struggled with injuries.
