    Kyle Orton back to Chicago?

ESPN is now reporting that the Broncos are waiving Orton. Is there a chance that Chicago picks him up again? He is familiar with the offense (unless he was traded before Martz was hired as OC). Any Bears fans have any insight if this is a possibility? They need somebody since Cutler is hurt and Haine may not be the right guy for the job.

God I hope not... He would be a terrible fit for the Bears offense. I'd rather stick with Hanie

Orton was gone before Martz was there. As a Bears fan, I'd rather give Caleb a chance to see what he can do against another team besides the Browns (every year it seems he's playing the Browns in the 4th preseason game).

Im assuming Houston is ahead of the Bears in the waiver order, so my guess is he will go there.

Given that he's placed on waivers, I'd be surprised if somebody else doesn't pick him before it gets all the way to the Bears.

They are talking about it on ESPN now. They are saying there is a really good chance he may go back like it or not Bears fans.

This. And I am pretty sure he would not succeed in the gunslinging arrangement that have for Cutler. With the way Forte and the special teams have been playing, however, they might only need him to manage the clock/game to win. Then again, Hanie could do the same thing.

Re: Kyle Orton back to Chicago?

The Bears are #30 in the waiver order right now, so I HIGHLY doubt they claim him. If he clears that far, Bears will let him clear and negotiate with him...thats if they really want him, which I am doubting. My guess is he lands in KC or Houston.

I'd rather have Orton than JT O'Sullivan or Luke McCown. He'd be nice to have if Hanie sucks ***.

how are they 30th in the waiver order? Isn't it based on season record and if thats the case they should be near 25 or so.

Re: Kyle Orton back to Chicago?

Bring him in, and sit him on the bench unless Hanie gets hurt. He's by far the best backup out there, and is better than the starters on quite a few of the teams, ex. Broncos.

Re: Kyle Orton back to Chicago?

There are so many qb injuries, he will find a good home. The Chiefs could get an upgrade over Palco. I could see some of these qb challenged teams going straight to a wildcat. I mean, it is a jungle out there this year for qb injuries.
