    Sledge

So, do people still think he can't play and isn't ready? I know it was in the final 4 minutes of the game today, but aside from the turnover while being double teamed and trying to get away from it...he looked pretty damn good. 3 assists, a steal, and 2 points in 4 minutes. The layup he had was hard too, contested and he still got it in. His passes were good as well and hard. I've been saying it from day 1, and I'll say it again, but I think he should get a little more playing time, even if it's only for 5-7 minutes.

Do you think he'll begin to see a little more playing time?

I don't know what to think. Yeah he was good, but the other team was giving up.

I really wish we could get him in as a true point guard. I miss SC being a threat at the 3 instead of trying to distribute as the point.

It looked like the bench was hoping Sledge would dunk it.

    Re: Sledge

I think he's getting close. He looked a little rushed, but he's a freshman. Seemed like he showed some promise with his minutes.

Really like Percy Gibson in his time. Looked much smoother than his other appearance. Our young guys look like nice building blocks.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

    Re: Sledge

It was good to see him get some minutes, and aside from his offense, it seemed like he was up on his guy pretty well on defense too.

I think he was going to, but the defender came up on him pretty fast and he knew he wouldn't have made the dunk.

Yeah that too. He competed in NYC high school hoops, possibly the hardest HS leagues in the US. The difference between D1 and high school is great, but if you can be a good player in some of the NYC leagues, it says a lot.

Hoiberg said in the post-game presser that Tavon and Percy are still swimming when it comes to defensive concepts. I am guessing that is why neither is playing more than they are right now. However, he also said he believes that they will both help the team down the road this season. The Mayor cannot tell a lie, so I am guessing that is true.

I completely agree. Not having a legitimate point guard means one of our best shooters is a shadow of what he could be.

I hate to say it, but Railey is bad.
