    Point and Shoot Camera Suggestion

    I am looking for a good point and shoot camera. I am looking to spend around $150 give or take. It seems like they are pretty hit or miss.

    I am looking for something that takes a good picture and is easy to use. Anyone have any suggestions or have one they really like or to stay away from?

    I just bought the Cannon Powershot ELPH A100 today at Target for their 4-day sale. $50 off. http://www.target.com/c/electronics/-/N-5xtg6It's going to be a present for my wife so I can't tell you what we think. The girl that helped me said she bought it for over $200 a year or more ago. She said she loves it.

    Get a Panasonic Lumix. Great lens (Lieca), HD video, tons of auto modes. I've had mine for three years and it takes such great photos that my son-in-law had to have one, too.

    Anne Getty (?) who takes the pictures of the babies said that the iPhone is a really good camera for quick and easy pictures. I assume the iPod touch would be the same... FWIW

    We have one of these and absolutely love the thing. Takes really good pictures for a point and shoot. Our first point and shoot was an Olympus, don't remember the model, but it was great too, except that after 5 years it just ate batteries. Put in fresh and within a couple of shots it was dead.

    How slim is the Panasonic? It looks kind of bulky. Good reviews though.

    That camera just looks cool. I've never seen one in person, but wowzers. Also, I'll second the Elph Canon cameras. My first digital camera was an Elph - took a lot of great pictures with it. It lasted so long that the logo was rubbed off and I got a new camera not because it broke, but because it had lasted too long and was out of date!
