Re: Nice article from the CR Gazette

Early in the ABC telecast of Saturday night’s USC-Oregon game in Eugene, the audience was shown a Ducks fan holding a sign saying “Thank You Iowa State,”
I didn't see that, anybody have a screen shot?

Nice writeup and sweet rebuttal in the comments section. Make sure you read that as well. Kudos to that guy.

I saw it, but I don't have a screenshot for you.

Also at the Alabama game, somebody showed up in an Iowa State shirt and was put on the jumbotron. The crowd erupted and cheered. They're pretty big fans of us in Tuscaloosa.

Adam is my hero. That is behind Jeff Woody. Nice response Adam. Another jealous squawk fan I am sure. It was a great win and Hlas is a wonderfulsports writer. I only wish he wrote for the DM Register.

I can only say that after being in the stadium for both the Iowa and OSU victories, I can conclusively say that the OSU victory was 10 times sweeter.

    Go Cyclones!!

Re: Nice article from the CR Gazette

Hlas made an error (undo assumption) that chiz would have been successful with this team. I can't make or agree with that assumption. ISU needs a certain amount of passion and Chiz did not have that here. He did not want to be here and it was clear by his record and lack of passion. CPR is the only man for ISU

Mike Hlas has been very fair and gives credit when it's due to ISU.

God, I would love to see both of those.

Also, I went back home to Illinois yesterday. I was walking around some stores with my ISU gear on (hat & Insight Bowl Fleece), and I had two people come up to me talking about the awesome game. It was crazy!

I'm fairly certain that if I walk around in ISU gear here for the next few days, I will be beaten, shot, and buried in a shallow grave by an angry mob.

Why? We don't play Tulsa until next year.

You have no proof of this and GC has gone on to win a national championship -- let it go .............. he left for his dream job after he fired the OC and DC.

a good write up for certain. I tweeted Hlas that Benton had the interception in the 2nd OT... DSM Rag had it wrong too.. .both had it as and LJ. Good stuff though.

That would have been awesome to see! I went and checked out Bama's message board and they seemed to be loving ISU that night! They also said their team was going crazy in the hotel while watching the game.

I wore some ISU gear around today while running some errands and had a couple of people say how good of a game it was. Which is nice because over here in Big 10 country a lot of people don't even realize there are teams outside of the Big 10.
