2012 schedule. Officially getting ahead of myself thread.

Pretty manageable for another bowl eligible year.

-Tulsa (a really good CUSA team)
    -@ Iowa
    -Western Illinois
*Tulsa will offer a challenge, but they got handled by OU/OSU and Boise this year. Iowa looks to be very similar next year. Have JVB, no McNutt, D-line will probably struggle again. 2 tough games to open, but both are certainly winnable.

-@ Texas(Still young at a lot of key positions)
-Baylor (Griffin has already graduated, but may stay and take Law)
-WVU (provided they just replace Mizzou)
-@ TCU (Provided they just replace ATM)
    -Texas Tech
*BU and Tech can be very winnable games, and hopefully pull out a 3rd.

-@ KU (1 of 4 road games vs the worst team in conference)
    -Oklahoma (No Jones/Broyles)
-@ OSU (No Weeden/does Blackmon stay?)
    -KSU
*Need to get KU. Maybe get OSU again, then take our chances with KSU in the finale.
OU might not have a lot to play for by this point if the new QB struggles.

I wont make a prediction here as there is so much to happen between then and now, but man.....I gotta say going to a bowl game with this schedule looks a whole helluva lot better than it did with the 2011 slate.

I think a NC is definitely within our sights in 2017

That could happen any year...BUT looking at home and road and other teams key departures....and offensively what might be a down year for the conference, ISU has what looks to be a great shot at winning at least 6. Couldn't use the word "great" back in August.

Anywhere from 2 to 9, honestly. Most likely going to settle around 6.

    Tulsa - Win
Iowa - Toss up. They'll be much better next year. A lot of seniors, and more developed and cleaner team than they fielded this year.
    Western Ill - Win
Tejas - Still talented out the ***. On the road, probably a loss.
Baylor - No RG3 and at home = ISU win.
WVU - Toss up. Probably going to be ranked. Tough game, but no idea how they'll match up in the Big 12 yet.
TCU - Call me crazy, but they're not that good yet. Very young and will be much better. Possible win, but toss up.
TT - They're going to be so ******... toss up.
    KU - Sucks. Win.
OU - Still really really good. Loss.
OSU - Not going to be happy. Lost their top tier talent, but still very talented and on the road, loss.
Purple Kansas - No idea what they will bring or if the walking corpse will still be on the sideline. Toss up.

I'm getting 5-6 wins. 2-1 nonconference. We could beat Iowa, but we could also lose to Tulsa. We get one of Baylor or WVU at home, get our big win against one of TCU/Texas/OU/OSU/KSU, and then we're at 4 wins with games we'll hopefully be favored in against KU and TTU.

Re: 2012 schedule. Officially getting ahead of myself thread.

-2-1 at worst in the non-conference. 3-0 is entirely possible once again.

-Too many unknown about the conference teams. Judging from how WVU is playing this year I'd say we win that game at home. For whatever reason we own Texas Tech so I like our chances there at home.

    -Should split against KU/K-State.
-Need to win 1-2 of the following: Texas, OU, OSU,. Baylor, TCU

Bowl game should be well within reach.

Pretty all these games are just too close to call or even talk about. So much can happen. Look at our wins this year, all except for TT were in question late in the game. Not much seperates teams in this conference anymore with the exception of KU right now.

The Big 12 will be down next year. I think 8 wins. 6 is worst case IMO and 10 is best. Can you imagine a 10 win season?

Oh, come on. We can win with the City. I love having the undefeated fan, but we're building a program that isn't dependent on one travelling fan.
