    ISU defense

When the offense is not sabotaging their efforts, this group is very good. Wally is crazy like a fox. I hope the rumors are true that he wants to wrap up his career in Ames.

Of note, have not seen much chatter on him - but Broomfield has 2 really big tackles Friday night. This redshirt sophomore could be really good for us in 2012.

Broomfield also had a huge stick on a 4th down play against KU, if I remember correctly.

    Wally is a witch.

No other way to explain holding the Okie State offense to only 17 points in regulation and forcing 5 turnovers. Never saw it coming.

Wally calls a great game. Our defense has been nothing but excellent the last few games, really played up to and at their potential. That being said OK will be loaded for bear next week. Go Clones.

    Re: ISU defense

The defense has really been rallying to the ball and most importantly tackling well, I was very impressed with the way they played against OSU.

    Go Cyclones!!

AJ Klein should be in line for an All Big XII selection. I hope he isn't overlooked because he has been one of the best players on the field all season.

I don't bring my own opinions, just attack others.

    Re: ISU defense

The entire defense played lights out. Weeden looked uncomfortable all night. We got into his head with a couple rushes/hits in the first quarter, his receivers were blanketed all night, the run game was stuffed, and we had hands in his passing lanes that forced some huge turnovers.

I'll be really interested to see how we do against K State. We have not faced a zone read offense since Missouri absolutely embarrassed us, I hope we can squash it at the line.

Good thing our D plays against a zone read daily in practice. Texas showed that it's possible to spy and contain Klein. I would make Knott that spy. Epic match up.

Broomfeld, CJ Morgan, Jacques Washington. All very young and very promising.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Willie Scott is impressive as well. Irving had a huge tipped pass as well.

Really like how the future is shaping up!

Wally is the man. Absolutely a great defensive coach. The polar opposite of Wayne Bolt. Wonder where he is at now? Auburn with the Chiz? Probably not.

Bolt is at Auburn, but he is something like Director of Operations and not a defensive coach

    Re: ISU defense

I'm glad to see there isn't anyone on here lamenting how terrible our defense is. It was lame before and would be even more lame after that performance. Other than one game, they have been solid and only gotten into trouble when the O didn't give them any help.

They stood up OSU like really nobody else has this season. 17 points in regulation? That's unreal!

    Great job, guys!

"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr

Looked that up and saw that he is indeed Director of Football Operations. Scott Fountain is Director of Player Personnel at Auburn.

And Robert McFarland is Tight Ends Coach of the Florida Tuskers of the UFL.
