Could inspire them. But it definitely was a devastating defeat. Their safety got burned repeatedly.

man i hope so, that is still a VERY good team we have to go and play. we haven't been competitive in that game but one time (inexplicably). i hope we don't get a beat down after what we did this week, but norman is a place teams rarely win at.

All that OU really cares about at this point in the season is beating OSU. Sure ISU worries them now, but they are focused on winning Bedlam and not being the laughing stock of the state for the next year.

You know if we beat OU, we're the champions of Iowa and Oklahoma!

He is OU's version of Tebow. Big QB that is used only in short yardage situations. This may not be exact but like 85+% of his carriers are iether first downs or TDs.

Oklahoma's offense really misses Broyles. If we can control the time of possession, we'll have a snowball's chance.

I like that we do not have to worry about Broyles and Stills. LJ on stills and I think a similar game plan to OSU would be effective (giving up everything underneath but not getting burned deep). I really hope to play OU well, because the thing that someone can almost always bank on in college football is a hangover after a big win. I REALLLLYYY want another win to go into preparation for a bowl with some confidence.

OU isn't the same as they were earlier. Something is wrong. For one thing Landry Jones is grossly overrated and the second thing is that they miss Ryan Broyles. Defensively they just aren't that good.

That said, the odds of us winning in Norman after an emotional win of our own, very small.

After what we all saw on Friday night... Nothing is out of the question. In a way it reminded me of the 2009 Nebraska game. We forced 5 OSU turnovers. Getting pressure on Weeden forced him into a couple bad decisions, balls being tipped at the line, etc.... This Cyclone team has to be very confident that they can play with anyone if they execute. Put OU on upset alert right now.

I didn't like that they lost.. first thing I thought was well there goes our chance to beat them next week. But maybe, I heard a few weeks ago they are pretty beat up... still the case? Hopefully our heads aren't too big after OSU though..

Re: Any chance OU's disappointment will actually distract them for our game?

I think they will play hungry and a little PO'd that they lost. They obviously want to go to a BCS and losing two in a row would put them out of contention for a major BCS bowl most likely.

I'm hoping we can use the same sort of gameplan we did vs. OSU i.e. taking the game 10 minutes at a time. Just limit mistakes, miscues, and cause turnovers and we can have a shot at winning even if they're hungry.
