Voices from the Stands: OSU ed.

Lots of action in section C last night...

First, a group of kids almost got kicked out for chewing tobacco. Security originally came up and said they had to leave NOW, but the kids talked them into just throwing away the chew so they could stay.

Second, there was a group of Tavern Hawk fans a few rows ahead of us with Hawkeye stocking caps and bright orange T-shirts. They cheered like crazy for OSU, and kept yelling "SCOREBOARD" pretty much the entire 3rd quarter. They got a lot of crap for it (as they should). My brother yelled something about Minnesota and he got flipped off by a Hawk chick.

Third, it was awesome to sprint from the top deck all the way to the field. Ran into JP on the way down, he was moving quick too!

He had to make a quick stop to talk to Paul Rhoads on his way to the University Checkbook.

Nothing from Section DD to report. Pretty normal for our section unless Iowa is in town otherwise most opposing fans are good people.

What is the motivation for buying tickets to a game you don't care about, sitting at a game with 40 degree temps, and being jerks by cheering against ISU all night? Blows my mind.

Don't try to understand the jihadic Hawk fans. That branch of fans is unreasonable at best, and usually not real bright.

Quite a few buy cheap season tickets so they don't have to pay scalp prices for the ISUvIowa game.

Yep. They came to talk **** about us "losing" but instead got to sit through one of the best games in college football this year and pay the ISU AD to do it.
