Great game. Beat #2. Solo national audience on a Friday night. Huge. Then, they show the coach in the locker room. He is now on every prospect's radar! Who wouldn't want to play for someone who believes in his players and the program like CPR? He put a freshman out there tonight. This tells them not only that we are a good program, but that they can play if they deserve it (unlike some of the big programs where you hope you will play after 3-4 years of waiting). Absolutely huge. Couldn't be bigger for recruiting.

Even the fans helped. Have you been watching games this week? There was no one at Miami the other night. We had more people in the endzone bleachers than they had in the main stands. Showing recruits that they will play in front of big crowds even when being a major underdog says a ton. This game will always be linked to the most crowded field I 've ever seen. Who wouldn't want to play in front of that crowd, even when you are 5-4 and a huge underdog?

Perhaps the only drawback was if other states, like Iowa, were having their state championships on the same night.

They're gonna wake up to one hell of a headline.

LOL. I just recognized that I don't even know who won in Iowa: Valley or Bettendorf?

    Re: Recruiting

Sat during the first half two rows behind Pierre Aka, Charles rodgers, and Kayne Seeley. They looked liked they were having a great time and I was even able to talk to them for a bit.

How bit was that on national tv?

Hilton Coliseum was specifically built to hold in sound with a solid concrete structure, steel doors, and a crowd that sits just a few feet from the court. With a fan base that frequently ranks among the nations largest crowds, players from opposing teams, as well as Iowa State, have said that the floor has shaken due to the loudness of the crowd
