    Something I still can't comprehend

Not that we need additional new threads ... Being down 24-7 to a team that averages 50 points per game, AFTER squandering chances to stay close (or even be ahead) in the first half.

This, with an offense that typically looks inconsistent at best.

I assumed we'd have to get a 10-point lead in the first half for a legit shot to win it.

This. And the offense making up for the inefficiency at the beginning. I used to think Iowa State needed to get up by 14 against any team they were big underdogs to, but even when Jantz was back there at QB's early in the season and now Barnett. I have felt this whole season just because we got down on the scoreboard didn't mean this team can't fight back. And we have all year. It's Rhoads, Burnham, Herman...all those guys and everyone around this football team has completely installed a winning culture that stays away from peaks and valleys. We're never out of it! ALL IN!

There were people near me questioning the coaches. I got upset at them. They were poor fans. In the end... I love Paul and his staff. Go Cyclones!!!

Re: Something I still can't comprehend

I will admit, when they went up 24-7 early in the 3rd, I started to get the feeling that it was going to become the kind of game where the highly ranked team with the high powered offense just started to pull away with the win.

I didn't expect us to make the comeback, yet I'm not surprised we did.
