    iPhone buyer question?

To preface: this thread is not a debate about Droids vs. iPhones. I've had an HTC Droid for two years. It's a great phone, and I would stay with it if it weren't so buggy, and if the battery life didn't suck. I'm moving to an iPhone.

For those who have an iPhone - is 16GB enough space? I don't put a lot of movies on there, and I always carry one or two iPods with me as backup. Does the OS and the actual phone software take up much room? With the new iCloud, will I actually download that much music?

    Thanks!

    Re: iPhone buyer question?

Depends on how many songs you want on your phone, but 16 GB is plenty for me. .64 GB is "other", .72 is Apps, 1.7 is video (only have 3 vids on my phone), .23 is audio, and 3.9 is music (I have 860 songs on my phone). That leaves me 6.5 gigs of free space.

    Hope that helps.

16 has always been good for me. especially now with Pandora and Spotify, i don't need to put as much music on my phone and i don't watch movies on it much.

    Re: iPhone buyer question?

I had a 16G iphone before the droid X I have now. I never filled it more than 1/2 full. Honestly, I stream my music from pandora or XM anymore. icloud is nice especially if you have other macs/ipads/ipods. You just load your data one place, and it appears on every linked device once they find a network connection.

Unless you're putting movies on it I can't imagine why 16gb wouldn't be enough.

    Re: iPhone buyer question?

I should bookmark this thread for 6-9 months from now when I pick up my iPhone (yeah, Yoda, the "anti-Apple guy" is getting an iPhone. I'm not so much "anti-Apple" as much as I am "anti-delta-bravos" that think they're better than everyone else because they own Apple products. I think Apple has great products, especially non-computing brands such as the iPod and iPhone, and I would have had one a long time ago if Verizon carried them a long time ago).

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

Do you two have to use the same Apple login? We each have our own, but I didn't know if it would make you log in/out if you borrowed each other's music.
