Black Friday vs Cyber Monday vs Day after Christmas

When do you think they have the best Sales for a big/flat screen TV, digital camcorder/camera etc? I have always done Black Friday shopping but a few friends told me to wait for Cyber Monday instead. Any thoughts?

Also, I am thinking about purchasing a 60 inch flat screen. What should I go for (LCD, LED etc)? I have a 40 inch plasma now and I am quite happy with plasma, but I hear LCD's are good!

Plasmas are better, especially for sports. Cheaper too for the size generally. LED is a type of LCD that is all around better than regular LCD. If the room is light controlled and you don't mind the tv being a little thicker, plasma is the way to go.

Thanks. I appreciate your comments. What about when to look for a sale? Is Black Friday actually better than Cyber Monday? How about the day after Christmas?

I actually got a great deal this about this time last year at sears at their sunday night friends and family sale. You need to start watching Coupons and Deals: Save money with hot deals and coupon codes or Slickdeals: The Best Deals, Coupons & Discounts on Laptops, Computers, LCDs, TVs, Dell, HP, Apple, Amazon starting now and jump at the first deal that looks really good.

Goto the Hot deals sections in their forums and let them tell you where the deals are at.

Amazon is always a great place to get a TV. They will price guarantee for 30 days.

At 60" I'd get a plasma. Panasonic is by far the best brand of plasma TV's out there.

Same here with Plasma. I've been happy with my Panasonic. I would watch bfads.net. It seems like Black Friday retailers usually focuse more on smaller TV's.

This seems like a decent deal and I've always liked LG products but I don't know much about their TV's.

Also, I have zero experience with LG, are they good? From what I hear Panasonic plasmas, Samsung anything and Sony anything are good!

I have heard great things about LG. (I do not have one)

We bought a Vizio 46 inch 2 years ago on Black Friday night. We love it. I think our next one will a Vizio with internet apps.

You're not buying from techbargins, you're buying from dell. TechBargins just list the sales and how to get them.

BTW-Costco has a 60" Panasonic 600hz 1080p viera for $1,199. It doesn't show the model #. I think it may be TC-60PS34. The only negative thing I've seen with some of the panosonics is the audio but that's probably the case with most TV's.

Here is a listing of all TV deals for Black Friday: Slickdeals.net

Or, even better for you seeing as you are interested in Plasma here is a listing of only Plasma's: Slickdeals.net

You even see a rating from others indicating what they believe is a good deal!
