    Depth Chart

Anyone else notice RJ's dropped behind Marquis on the depth chart for the Nebraska game?

    Re: Depth Chart

Thats odd. Sumrall is our best WR, no offense to Blythe. I think Hamilton is very good, but it doesnt really matter since we usually have 3 WR sets anyway.

    Re: Depth Chart

Nate Frere is also behind Rubin now on the depth chart and Bailey Johnson is the backup to Braaksma. I was wondering where Big Nate was this year.

    Re: Depth Chart

I kind of wonder about it too, because I'd be kinda surprised if S. Johnson is starting over Chris Brown.

    Re: Depth Chart

I noticed Steve Johnson starting over Chris Brown and that also surprised me. It seemed Brown made more plays than Johnson. I never really noticed Johnson when he was in, but Brown always seemed to be around the ball or at the point of attack. Is Johnson better at pass coverage than Brown?

    Re: Depth Chart

Did they (Johnson & Brown) both play at Toledo? I know Johnson left the Iowa game early with an injury, giving Brown the opportunity to make those great plays for us.

Wondering if he (Johnson) was back in action last Saturday.

    johnson started the toledo game..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Yeah, it was on the last drive of the game, when they where trying to set up the field goal. He was bobbling it as he stepped out of bounds. Would've given ISU possession on Toledo's 19 yd line I think. It sucked, but by no means a backbreaker.

Maybe we are saving RJ for third down situations whn he is fresh.

    Re: Depth Chart

My guess is that they are either rewarding Marquis for good work lately, or trying to keep RJ fresh. I haven't seen or heard anything in game that would cause Sumrall to lose his spot.

    Re: Depth Chart

Maybe the coach watched the Nebraska tape from 2 years and saw RJ get run down by a line backer and cost them the game and a big 12 title.
