What the H is China up to?

    I found this article fascinating.

There have been a bunch of huge (tens of miles) structures discovered out in the middle of the Kumtag Desert. No clear indication of what the Chinese are trying to accomplish though it seems some of them may be related to calibration of spy satellites.

If you go to the site you can be re-directed to Google Maps to get an idea of how remote the areas are. Kind of creepy.

    Here are some examples:

The last one is an engineered 1:20 scale model of a disputed area of the border between China and India.

I wonder if it has anything to do with anti-satellite technology, as that would be a way that the Chinese could really level the playing field in event of war with the US.

    That's a really good point.

Also of note is a related article some unknown person/agency/country has been ordering hundreds of satellite images of this area from Google since 2004.

War games for bombing. Good targets to bomb neighborhoods.

This one has different sizes of planes as well as convoy trucks. The other structures may be scaled to emulate certain sized buildings (storage quarters).

I had seen the other pictures but not this one. This is the one that makes me wonder WTF they are doing too.

You would think that our government would have a better view of it than Google, but other countries, perhaps not so much.

Whatever they are doesn't matter. What matters is how will the US Military destroy them?

One Common theory that I have heard is that they are training grounds for predator type robotic strikes. The different sized crafts, the intricate structures are testing their ability to distinguish targets.

I have always found China to be interesting and for some reason believe that someday two two biggest superpowers (us and them) will square off in a war.

    Korea II?

It sickens me that we are talking like it's going to happen.

Seems if they want take us out they'd just call in the trillions in loans that we owe them. We couldn't afford to fight a war.

Re: What the H is China up to?

I've heard they're all training grounds for the Chinese military. Mostly for artillery target practice ,and bomber runs. Street and airfield mockups, nothing too conspiracy oriented here.

And it's actually been stated by an anonymous source that the squiggly lines that look kind of like streets are supposed to resemble Taiwan as opposed to anywhere else.

Then they don't get their money back, and they lose their moneymaker. The China and US is a symbiotic relationship, we give them money, they give us cheap goods/labor. The US is getting the more raw end of the deal atm, and it won't be sustainable forever.
